Lisa
first met Scarlette in September 1992, when she went to work at
Longwood
Farm in Maryland. Scarlette was a yearling at that time and
Lisa's
just was to get her going under saddle. Scarlette and Lisa
quickly
developed a very special bond that has made Lisa think of the mare
often,
through the years. Scarlette is from a great Mid-Atlantic racing family. She is a half sister to Redcall (a Multiple stakes winner of over $360k, including finishing 2nd in the Washington D.C. International Stakes - G1); Red Ice (stakes winner with earnings over $180k, stakes producer); Ice Devise (stakes placed earner of over $90k, stakes producer); along with other good racehorses and several other good producing half sisters. Red Devilette has had 4 foals to race, all 3 are winners and one (Crafty Tiger) who just finished second in his 3rd race at Hollywood. She has one other of racing age and one yearling by Oliver's Twist that was born at Perfect Peace Farm. In 2006, she gave birth to one Lane End's Silver Ghost's last foals. Her name is Prepare the Way and is looking like a very promising race prospect. Scarlette in the mean time has been booked for a return trip to Marquetry.
